Julie Frankl. M.Ed.

Julie A. Frankl, M.Ed. is an educational coach and consultant at Ohio’s State Support Team Region 7. Her current role includes serving districts in the area of Career Tech, supporting Career Tech Planning Districts and their partner schools with a focus on increased graduation and reduced dropout outcomes for students with a unique need. Additionally, she is the external lead for the region’s State Systemic Improvement Plan Cohort for Each Child on Track. During her ten-year tenure at SST7, Ms. Frankl has given focused attention to secondary transition, career preparation, principal leadership, Ohio’s Improvement Process, and systems work-- coaching teams to analyze data, strategically write and implement plans to monitor progress and accomplish goals. Further, she supports teams working with the Office for Exceptional Children, the Office of Career Tech, and the Office of Graduate Success to meet compliance expectations and move toward best practice, including partnership with agencies to grow collaborative efforts across the region.

Ms. Frankl believes that it is through empathy, compassion, and continually seeking to understand that we will make concerted efforts in educational progress and community advancement—and reach the goal to get each child through graduation to the adult life he/she/they envisions.  She is committed to looking and leaning forward to learn with and from the students as well as those amazing adult humans in our midst who blaze trails and take risks to find better ways to serve and be served. 

Ms. Frankl holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Kent State University and a Master’s Degree from Bowling Green State University. She holds a K-12 Principal License.  Earlier in her Career, she was named a Jennings Scholar and as a principal she had the honor of accepting a National Blue Ribbon Award for her students, families, and staff. At the time she came to the SST, her dedicated staff and students were the 8th highest performing poverty school in Ohio. 

Previous to her ten years at SST7, Ms. Frankl’s career embraced 30 years in service to our Ohio educational system as a teacher, coach and administrator spanning grades K-10. She currently resides in Sunbury, Ohio with her husband of 40 years and enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loves to walk, bicycle, travel, read, write and create educational system support tools.
